Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the uneven agitation problem and the clogging problem of the conventional Taylor vortex reactor and to increase efficiency in supplying a material to be processed or in discharging a processed material.SOLUTION: The rotation rate of an inner cylinder is changed repeatedly under control to bring bubbles (a gas) and the material to be processed which is a liquid or a solid into a moderately agitated/mixed state, and the desired process efficiency can be improved. Such a novel cyclic double backwashing constitution is adopted to avoid the clogging problem that a first filter and a second filter are backwashed respectively. Further, an electrochemical reaction zone is combined in the axial direction so as to have constitution to be used also for a chemical process. The diameter of a rotationally symmetric body is decreased or increased gradually and monotonously in the axial direction of rotational symmetry to increase the efficiency in supplying the material to be processed or in discharging the processed material.
