PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diphenyl disulfide derivative which is an intermediate capable of simply and efficiently producing a substituted phenyl ether compound having controlling effects on pests.SOLUTION: There is provided a diphenyl disulfide derivative represented by the formula (1).
