Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a vehicle in which an electric motor can be singly separated from a transmission, and the electric motor can be reduced in size.SOLUTION: Since an electric motor MG is arranged at an input side of a transmission 16, a torque amplification function of the transmission 16 can be obtained. In addition to this, since the electric motor 16 is connected to a power transmission passage P3 (power transmission passage between a clutch K0 and the transmission 16) via a clutch K1, an engine 12 is not separated from the transmission 16 by merely releasing the clutch K1. Accordingly, in a drive unit 10, the electric motor MG can be singly separated from the transmission 16, and the electric motor MG can be reduced in size.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
