Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently compensate for a bias of an inertial unit fast according to a temperature.SOLUTION: An inertial unit IMU 26 of a drone is fitted onto a main circuit board. The IMU includes an internal temperature sensor which transmits a chip temperature signal (θ°). A heating component 36 is fitted nearby the IMU on the main circuit board, and provided with a heat guide which is incorporated in the circuit board and extends between the heating component and IMU so as to allow transfer of heat that the heating component generates to the IMU. The heat guide may be, specifically, a metal plane layer incorporated in the board, especially, a ground plane. Heat adjusting circuits 44-62 receive, as input, the chip temperature signal (θ°) and a set-point temperature signal (θ°), and transmit a steering signal (TH_PWM) for the heating component to control heat supply to the IMU. This quick temperature rise is utilized to complete all calibrations of the IMU in several minutes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
