Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector for an air conditioner, having a sterilizing function to efficiently remove and inactivate floating fungi, molds, viruses, allergy materials.SOLUTION: A dust collector includes: a filter 22 installed upstream of a suction port of a vehicular air conditioner 10 for removing bulky dust from suction air; and a discharge device 100 installed on the leeward side of the filter 22 and having a discharge electrode and a counter electrode stored inside a frame (an upper frame and a lower frame) having openings on the windward and leeward sides. The air passage face of the filter 22 and the suction port of the vehicular air conditioner 10 are arranged deviating from each other in the direction perpendicular to the air passage face. The counter electrode is arranged at a predetermined inclination angle to the opening face of the frame so that the suction air moves from the air passage face of the filter 22 toward the suction port of the vehicular air conditioner 10.
