Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a fuel injection and ignition to a cylinder 2 in an expansion stroke, in the case where a restart condition is established immediately before an in-cylinder injection type engine 1 stops, and to start the engine without using a starter motor 18, and when this start fails, this failure is promptly determined to perform switching into a starter start.SOLUTION: After a fuel injection and ignition to a cylinder 2 in an expansion stroke are executed, when a crankshaft 13 operates reversely and a failure of a start is determined (Step ST207: determination means), a starter motor 18 is operated, and a fuel injection and ignition to the cylinder 2 in a compression stroke are executed to start an engine 1 (Step ST208).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
