To provide a novel copolymer excellent in adhesion to a metallic or resin substrate, and also in a balance to various performances such as heat resistance, etc.SOLUTION: A polymeric compound includes a structural unit derived from a diallylamine derivative (for instance, diallyldimethyl ammonium chloride, diallyl methylamine sulfamate, diallylamine sulfamate, methyldiallylamine hydrochloride, diallylamine hydrochloride, etc.) and a structure derived from an α-position aryl ether-substituted acrylic acid derivative (for instance, 2-(allyloxymethyl) methyl acrylate, etc.).
