Title:
The exhaust-air-purification system of an internal-combustion engine
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP5918096
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust cleaning system which appropriately controls an urea water injection amount to a selective reducing catalyst so as to avoid the occurrence of NHslip and such that NOx cleaning rate is not degraded.SOLUTION: An exhaust cleaning system includes a selective reducing catalyst which cleans NOx in exhaust with NHand an urea water supply device which supplies urea water to an upper stream of the selective reducing catalyst. In an urea water injection control, the occurrence of future NHslip from the selective reducing catalyst is determined based on the estimation of a future temperature rise of the selective reducing catalyst (S14) and, in accordance with such determination that the NHslip occurs, an urea water injection amount is reduced by a reduced amount ΔST_UREA as compared to a standard injection amount GUREA_BS (S19). Therein, even when the occurrence of the NHslip is determined on the basis of the estimation of the future temperature rise, the urea water injection amount is not reduced when it is determined that the NHslip does not occur on the basis of a present NOx amount (S18, S15).
