Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration method of metal nanoparticles capable of maintaining a high filtration flow rate.SOLUTION: In the provided filtration method for separating metal nanoparticles from a liquid including metal nanoparticles via a separation membrane, the metal nanoparticles comprise a metal and a metal compound and have an average particle diameter confined to a range of 1-300 nm, and the separation membrane is a hydrophilic membrane constituted by a material having a water contact angle of 58 degrees or below; the filtration method comprises a filtration step performed at a filtration pressure of 0.1 MPa or below based on a cross-flow scheme and a washing step, whereas the washing step of the provided filtration method of metal nanoparticles is a washing step of periodically performing at least either of a back pressure wash and a pressure accumulation flushing wash and then returning the washing effluent into the raw water.
