Abstract:
To suppress a decrease in the accuracy of detecting a specific gas concentration immediately after switching a measurement mode that is suitable for detecting a specific gas concentration that is higher.SOLUTION: A gas sensor 100 comprises a sensor element 101 and a control device. The sensor element 101 includes a first pump cell 41a for measurement and a second pump cell 41b for measurement. The control device has a low concentration measurement mode and a high concentration measurement mode. The control device controls, in the low concentration measurement mode, the first pump cell 41a for measurement so that a pump current Ip2a becomes a demarcation current, and detects a specific gas concentration in the gas being measured, on the basis of the pump current Ip2a. The control device controls, in the high concentration measurement mode, the first pump cell 41a for measurement so that a pump current Ip2a flows, and controls the second pump cell 41b for measurement so that a pump current Ip2b becomes a demarcation current, then detecting a specific gas concentration in the gas being measured, on the basis of the pump currents Ip2a, Ip2b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
