Title:
A generation method of the foamed slag in arc furnace steel manufacture
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6085005
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration in dephosphorization performance and to reduce carbonaceous material consumption in a method where steel scrap is subjected to dissolution and oxidative refining to form foamed slag by an arc furnace.SOLUTION: A small amount of carbonaceous material is charged to basic slag produced before melt down and having oxidizing properties (including of a large amount of FeO) to produce a CO gas, the foaming of the slag is induced, next, lime stone is intermittently charged to generate a COgas by the thermal decomposition of the lime stone, and foaming is grown and maintained to highly retain heat efficiency by the surrounding of an arc. Further, carbonaceous material charge after that is reduced. Compared with foaming only by the conventional carbonaceous material, the reduction reaction of FeO and POin the slag is suppressed, and deterioration in dephosphorization performance can be prevented. The increase of the unit consumption of lime content does not occur. A consumption calorie is small. The reduction of the carbonaceous material consumption continues to the reduction of carbon dioxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
