Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a phenomenon in which a developer is attached to a non-exposed portion of a photoreceptor during preparation rotation control in high humidity.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a photoreceptor (photoreceptor drum 61); an exposure part that exposes the photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image; a developing roller 71 that is in contact with the photoreceptor to supply a developer; a humidity sensor that detects humidity; and a control part 100. The control part 100 executes, before starting formation of an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor, preparation rotation control of rotating the photoreceptor and developing roller 71 and image formation control of forming an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor. When a humidity is equal to or lower than a predetermined humidity during the preparation rotation control, the control part 100 rotates the developing roller 71 at a first peripheral speed, and when a humidity is higher than the predetermined humidity, rotates the developing roller 71 at a second peripheral speed larger than the first peripheral speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
