Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce its size while ensuring the rigidity of an apparatus body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a left frame 21; a right frame 22 arranged at an interval in the left-and-right direction from the left frame 21; and a first sheet metal member 60 fixed to the left frame 21 and the right frame 22. The first sheet metal member 60 has a body part 61 extending in the left-and-right direction, a left extension part 62 extending downward from a left end in the left-and-right direction of the body part 61 and fixed to a front face of the left frame 21, and a right extension part 63 extending downward from a right end in the left-and-right direction of the body part 61 and fixed to a front face of the right frame 22. The left frame 21 has a step part 21a formed in the fore-and-aft direction on the front face and extending along the vertical direction, and the left frame 21 has a bent part 62a bent frontward along the shape of the step part 21a and corresponding to the step part 21a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
