Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device that can be mounted with an extension paper supply unit and that prevents the wrong amount of a recording medium from being reported even when the extension paper supply unit is replaced.SOLUTION: An extension paper supply unit 80 stores allocated characteristic information and can calculate the amount of remaining forms from a driving time of a plate elevation motor elevating a plate supporting the forms. The extension paper supply unit 80 when mounted transmits the allocated characteristic information and the amount of remaining forms to a device body 101. A flash memory 35 of the device body 101 is stored with a remaining form amount table 35b in which the characteristic information and the amount of remaining forms are related to one or a plurality of extension paper feed units 80. The device body 101 stores the received characteristic information and the amount of remaining forms in the remaining form amount table 35b.
