Title:
An image sensor and an imaging device
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6232108
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element having suppressed variance in pupil intensity distribution of pixels for focus detection due to manufacture-related variance in position among components.SOLUTION: There is provided an imaging element having microlenses provided respectively on light reception sides of a plurality of pixels including pixels for focus detection and imaging pixels, and photoelectric conversion parts which receive light converged by the microlenses. A pixel for focus detection has a light-shielding layer for pupil division between a microlens and a photoelectric conversion part. A microlens has a focal length corresponding to a wavelength region based upon spectral sensitivity of the pixel for which the microlens is provided, the focal length being positioned a predetermined distance to a microlens side based upon the light- shielding layer. The predetermined distance is defined to be smaller than nFΔ in the wavelength range. Here, n is a refractive index of the microlens at its focus position, F is a stop value of the microlens, and Δ is a diffraction limit of the microlens.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
