Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide imaging equipment making it possible to upgrade precision in distance detection by effectively utilizing non-focus detection pixels disposed on the same column as focus detection pixels of a solid-state image sensor are.SOLUTION: An image is produced based on signals sent from plural imaging pixels of a solid-state image sensor, which has plural pixels arrayed two-dimensionally, which produce image production signals by photoelectrically converting an object image formed by an imaging lens. Focus detection is performed based on signals sent from focus detection pixels that are discretely disposed among the imaging pixels and that produce phase difference detection signals by photoelectrically converting the object image formed in areas into which a pupil area of the imaging lens is divided. Based on signals obtained when non-focus detection pixels disposed on the same column as the focus detection pixels photoelectrically convert reflected light of pulsating light, which is projected from a light-emitting element, reflected from an object, a distance to the object is detected according to a TOF method. The non-focus detection pixels are effectively utilized in order to upgrade precision in distance detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
