Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide alternative authentication means while maintaining the strength of security when failed in one instance of authentication in an information processing device that performs authentication by a plurality of types of authentication means.SOLUTION: There is provided an information processing device that performs authentication of a user, the information processing device having: first authentication means for performing first authentication included in a first group; second authentication means for performing second authentication included in a second group; device authentication means which, when a user whose authentication is approved by one authentication means included in the first group and a user whose authentication is approved by one authentication means included in the second group are the same user, approves the use of the information processing device by the user; and provision means which, when authentication by the first authentication means or the second authentication means fails, provides alternative authentication means that corresponds to the authentication means that failed in authentication.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
