Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared detector and a manufacturing method thereof, with which it is possible to respond to a plurality of kinds differing in threshold.SOLUTION: A conversion circuit 4 of an IC element 3 converts a current signal inputted from a pyroelectric element 2 through an input pad electrode 32 into a voltage signal. A determination circuit 5 makes determination on the basis of the voltage signal outputted from the conversion circuit 4. An output circuit 6 outputs the determination result of the determination circuit 5 as a detection signal through an output pad electrode 36. The IC element 3 further includes threshold setting pad electrodes 37, 38, and a threshold setting circuit 7 for setting a threshold used in the determination circuit 5 on the basis of the potentials of the threshold setting pad electrodes 37, 38. A mounting substrate 9 further includes a threshold setting terminal 107 for determining the potentials of the threshold setting pad electrodes 37, 38. The threshold of an infrared detector 1 varies depending on whether or not the threshold setting pad electrodes 37, 38 and the threshold setting terminal 107 are connected to each other by conductive members (wires 117, 118).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
