Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism that is less unlikely to cause unintended release when force in a rotating direction is applied from outside, in an arm rest or another seat back disposed so as to be rotatable with respect to a seat back of a vehicle seat or a vehicle body.SOLUTION: A seat back in a vehicle seat comprises: rock members 50R, 50L disposed on respective arm rests mounted so as to be rotatable around a rotation axis P1 extending in a longitudinal direction with respect to a seat back and movable in a longitudinal direction on a parallel axis P2 extending parallel to the rotation axis P1; and a slide member 80 movable in a direction perpendicular to the parallel axis P2 while engaging with one end of each lock member 50R, 50L. The other end of each lock member 50R, 50L projects from the arm rest by movement of the slide member 80, and selectively adopt a state in which the other end engages with a lock member engagement hole 35d and a patch hole 35e1 of a support bracket 35 mounted on the seat back, or a state in which the other end engages with neither of them.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
