Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017069895
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately identify a content or a location of a fault in a network while suppressing resource consumption.SOLUTION: A fault separation method includes the steps: performing a predetermined action on a monitoring object in order to extract a fault that is possible for the monitoring object, as a primary cause event; collecting fault events that are results of the action; applying the fault events to a fault cause analysis rule; narrowing down the primary cause events together with a certainty factor; and discriminating whether the narrowed-down primary cause event and the certainty factor meet predetermined requirements and narrowing-down is completed. If the narrowing-down is not completed, the steps of performing a predetermined additional action on the monitoring object; collecting additional fault events that are results of the additional action; applying the additional fault events to the fault cause analysis rule; and narrowing down the primary cause events together with the certainty factor, are continued until the narrowing-down is completed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
