Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple means with which graphene can be easily and efficiently produced by physical peeling without imparting a pretreatment to a graphite body or using a special condition.SOLUTION: In an apparatus 1 for producing graphene, graphene is generated by applying strong shear force to a graphite-containing liquid formed by mixing earthy graphite or graphite recovered from an anode of a used lithium ion battery with water so as to peel off a graphite layer from the graphite. The apparatus 1 for producing graphene includes: a pressurizing pump 3 to pressurize and discharge the graphite-containing liquid; and a peeling device 4 to receive the graphite-containing liquid discharged from the pressurizing pump 3, to generate a jet stream of the graphite-containing liquid by transforming pressure energy of the graphite-containing liquid into kinetic energy, and to generate graphene by peeling off the graphite layer from the graphite with the shear force produced in the jet stream.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
