Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a furofuran derivative that has a higher yield than before, and uses thereof.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a furofuran derivative includes the processes of: obtaining a condensation product represented by formula (2) by condensing cinnamic acid represented by formula (1) or its derivative 2; and forming a furofuran skeleton by dehydrogenating a condensed ring formed in the process.
