Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing scorodite as large particles efficiently and stably.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing scorodite where an Fe/As precipitate containing arsenic and iron is mixed in a solution containing sulfuric acid to form an acidic slurry or an acidic solution of pH 0.7 to 1.2, which is heated to form crystalline scorodite. The method for producing scorodite preferably uses an Fe/As precipitate formed by adding a sodium hydroxide solution to a material containing copper and arsenic, performing alkaline oxidative leaching by bubbling air therein, and adding a ferric compound to a solution containing arsenic formed by solid-liquid separation so that an Fe/As mole ratio becomes 0.9 to 1.1.
