Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce steel of high cleanliness by controlling slag composition upon ladle refining to an optimum range in production of high cleanliness steel by using ladle refining equipment and vacuum degasification equipment .SOLUTION: A method of producing high cleanliness steel is provided for producing the high cleanliness steel by conducting ladle refining on molten steel tapped from a converter in ladle refining equipment and conducting vacuum degasification refining in vacuum degasification equipment. In the method of producing high cleanliness steel, a slag composition upon the ladle refining is controlled in such a way that (mass%CaO)/(mass%SiO) is in the range of 4.0 to 6.3, (mass%CaO)/(mass%AlO) is in the range of 1.8 to 2.3 and (mass%CaO)/(mass%SiO) and (mass%CaO)/(mass%AlO) satisfy following (1) formula. 0.0059×(mass%CaO)/(mass%SiO)+0.028×(mass%CaO)/(mass%AlO)≤0.088 (1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
