Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a secondary battery capable of manufacturing an electrode mixture paste having excellent properties even when an electrode active material having a tap density of 1.0 g/cmor more is used.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a secondary battery involves manufacturing an electrode mixture paste by mixing and kneading a powder and a solvent used when creating an electrode mixture paste while varying the amount of the solvent (preparatory mixing), and by fully mixing and kneading the same at a mixture ratio at which mixing torque indicates a peak value. When the tap density of an active material included in a powder component is 1.0 g/cmor more, a solvent of the same component as a solvent component used when creating the electrode mixture paste is mixed, before preparatory mixing, into the active material used in preparatory mixing for a time predetermined according to the tap density, by which a predetermined amount of solvent is included (wetting process).
