Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for formaldehyde-containing waste water, by which formaldehyde can be sufficiently decomposed and removed without the use of ammonia.SOLUTION: A treatment method for formaldehyde-containing waste water includes: a film separation step of subjecting formaldehyde-containing waste water to reverse osmosis membrane separation treatment; a chemical oxidation step of adding an oxidant to the separation treated water processed from the film separation step to subject the formaldehyde to oxidation treatment. The formaldehyde-containing waste water, after being subjected to decarbonization treatment, is subjected to reverse osmosis membrane treatment and then may be subjected to chemical oxidation treatment.
