To improve the degree of freedom in a design of a coil without reducing the width of teeth in an armature of a motor.
In the armature of the motor, each of slots 2113 of a stator core 211 accommodates the straight line portion of a U-shape square lead wire 212a having a rectangular cross section and the straight line portion of a U-shape round lead wire 212b having a round cross section, and the both ends of the square lead wire 212a and the round lead wire 212b are alternately connected via a plurality of bus bars, thereby forming a plurality of coils. As described above, the square lead wire 212a and the round lead wire 212b are accommodated in each of the slots 2113, and thus the lead wires can be disposed in various ways depending on the shape of a slot 2113, and in this way, the degree of freedom in design of a coil can be improved without reducing the width of the teeth 2111. As the result, the balance between reduction of the electric resistance of a coil and reduction in the magnetic resistance of the teeth 2111 can be easily realized.
