Abstract:
To provide a navigation device capable of preventing an own position display from being unnatural during traveling near a toll gate.SOLUTION: A navigation device is equipped with a vehicle position detecting portion 5 which detects an own vehicle position; a vehicle position calculating portion 20; a camera 8 which detects a number of lanes of a road on which the own vehicle travels; a lane number specifying portion 22; and a map matching setting portion 24 which sets the validity/invalidity of the map matching for positioning the own vehicle position on a road link of map data, on the basis of the number of lanes specified by the lane number specifying portion 22 when the own vehicle position calculated by the vehicle position calculating portion 20 is within a predetermined range including a toll gate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
