To provide a porphyrin derivative and a photoelectric conversion device.SOLUTION: In a photoelectric conversion device having a first electrode EL1, an active layer (charge transport layer) AL, and a second electrode EL2, the active layer AL is a layer in which a donor material DO and an acceptor material AC are mixed, and a compound represented by (Chemical formula 1) or the like is used as the donor material. Aryl units to be connected to 10 position and 20 position of a porphyrin skeleton are made different and an asymmetric structure is constructed as a whole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
