Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for recovering oil from oil-containing waste water, which enables efficient and economical separation and recovery of oil from waste water to be treated in which at least a part of the oil is forming an emulsion.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for recovering oil from oil-containing waste water where oil is separated and recovered from water to be treated, the water containing oil where a part of the oil is forming an emulsion. The method comprises sequentially: a pretreatment step of oil-water separation of the emulsion formed in the water to be treated by addition of a salt to the water to be treated; and a separation step of separating oil from the water to be treated which was subjected to oil-water separation in the pretreatment step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
