Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device which is hard to cause the warp of a glass substrate in lighting or in manufacturing even if the glass substrate is a thin one.SOLUTION: An organic EL device comprises: a glass substrate having an average thickness of 0.1-2 mm inclusive; an organic EL element 12 stacked on the glass substrate; an encapsulation layer 7 encapsulating the organic EL element 12; an aluminum thin film 35 located over and covering the encapsulation layer 7, and having an average thickness of 1-15 μm inclusive; and a rigid resin layer 10 provided on an annular region 38 consisting of a region within 5 mm inwardly from a peripheral edge of the aluminum thin film 35 throughout the entire periphery of the annular region 38, and having a width of 0.1-5 mm inclusive. Part of the rigid resin layer 10 glues between a first electrode layer 3 in a non-light-emitting region 33 and the aluminum thin film 35.
