Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable seating posture by suppressing motions of legs at a pedal operation to the minimum.SOLUTION: This pedal device comprises: a physical region calculation device 300 which calculates positions of ankles and knees in a state that a driver is seated on a seat in a vehicle; a collision detection sensor 350 which detects a possibility of a collision of the vehicle; a pedal 104 to which pedal-in operations of legs of the driver are transmitted; a toe fixture for fixing the leg of the driver to the pedal 104 when the possibility of the collision occurs; an abutment position estimation part 402 which estimates that which portions inside the vehicle the leg of the driver abuts on at the collision according to the calculated positions of the ankles and the knees; and a pedal drive part 200 which moves a position of the pedal so that the leg of the driver abuts on an impact absorption part on the basis of an estimation result by the abutment position estimation part 402.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
