Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of tracking in an area with a level difference.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 comprises: an imaging unit 10 which images an area including a first area and a second area different from each other in the levels of floor surfaces; and a detector 32 which detects a first object image representing a predetermined object from a first-area image, in the image taken by the imaging unit 10, including at least an image of the first area. From a second-area, in the image taken by the imaging unit 10, including at least an image of the second area, the detector 32 detects as a second object image representing the object an image of a size determined on the basis of the size of the first object image and a relation between a first distance representing a distance between the imaging unit 10 and the floor surface of the first area and a second distance representing a distance between the imaging unit 10 and the floor surface of the second area.
