Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a position detection device with high position detection accuracy, which is capable of ensuring variation in output of a Hall element in a longer movement distance.SOLUTION: A position detection device for rectilinearly moving body includes: a rectilinearly moving body supported so as to be rectilinearly movable in a Z direction of a rectangular coordinate systems with three axes X, Y and Z: a coil which is supported on the rectilinearly moving body and has a winding central axis parallel to the Z direction; a yoke which has a coil inside insertion portion to be relatively movably inserted into the coil and is made of a magnetic material integrated with a permanent magnet; and a Hall element fixed to a part effected by a magnetic flux of the permanent magnet, of the rectilinearly moving body. The permanent magnet has a rectangular-parallelepiped shape having front and rear surfaces, both side surfaces in a lengthwise direction, and both end surfaces, the front and rear surfaces are formed with N and S poles by being magnetized, and the front and rear surfaces of the permanent magnet are non-parallel to a movement direction of the Hall element in a YZ cross-section and are inclined relative to the Z direction, and both the side surfaces of the permanent magnet are non-parallel to the movement direction of the Hall element in an XZ cross-section and are inclined relative to the Z direction.
