PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system of the present invention which is capable of preventing a connection error and a combination mistake between a print controller and an image forming apparatus, and taking an appropriate measure even in a case of, for example, a connection error.SOLUTION: A print controller 201 or an image forming apparatus 207 compares equipment configuration information acquired from an equipment configuration information management server 213 with the equipment configuration information of the own device, and compares, with respect to each equipment configuration information item contained in the equipment configuration information acquired from the equipment configuration information management server 213, the value of the item with the value of the same item contained in the equipment configuration information of the own device, when a collation object flag is effective, to determine whether or not the equipment configuration information item is conformable. Then, the contents of warning processing corresponding to the warning level of an equipment configuration information item determined to be unconformable is read from a warning processing table (Fig. 9) representing the contents of warning processing corresponding to warning levels, and the warning processing is executed.
