Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater sailing body and a control method of the underwater sailing body capable of preventing search failure while efficiently performing autonomous sailing.SOLUTION: An underwater sailing body (10) performs a search using a sonar device (12) while performing autonomous sailing along a sailing path which includes straight progression lines and turning lines. The underwater sailing body (10) includes: a storage (20) that stores a sailing path; a drive unit (22) as a power source; a search width calculation section (24) that calculates the search width made by the sonar device; a sailing path correction section (30) that corrects the distance ΔL between the straight progression lines based on the search width; and a sailing control section (32) that controls the drive unit along the corrected sailing path.
