Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static electricity breakdown voltage test device and a static electricity breakdown voltage test method which are capable of reproducing a failure due to static electricity occurring in the market.SOLUTION: The static electricity breakdown voltage test method includes steps of: charging electric charges by connecting a capacitor, configured to be able to change electrostatic capacitance thereof, to a power supply; discharging the electric charges charged in the capacitor toward an electronic component 2; measuring electric characteristics of the electronic component 2 during discharge of the capacitor; determining a failure of the electronic component 2 on the basis of the measured electric characteristics; and increasing the electrostatic capacitance of the capacitor when it is determined that the electronic component 2 is normal. In the charging step and the discharging step, electric charges are charged and discharged to and from the capacitor with increased electrostatic capacitance, respectively. In the determining step, the failure of the electronic component 2 is determined based on the electric characteristics measured during discharge of the capacitor with increased electrostatic capacitance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
