Abstract:
Provided is a terminal device which saves power in encryption. In the terminal device, a first layer processing unit (2a) performs processing on input data based on a protocol of a first layer of a protocol stack, a primary encryption unit (2b) performs encryption in the first layer, a second layer processing unit (2c) performs processing on data input through the first layer processing unit (2a) based on a protocol of a second layer of the protocol stack, a secondary encryption unit (2d) performs encryption in the second layer, an encryption level determination unit (2e) obtains a terminal condition and a threshold, and determines an encryption level of the secondary encryption unit (2d) according to the terminal condition, a notification signal generation unit (2f) generates a notification signal for notifying of the determined encryption level, and a transmission unit (2g) transmits, to a base station, the data input through the first layer processing unit (2a) and the second layer processing unit (2c), and the notification signal input from the notification signal generation unit (2f).
