Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method where, in a leaching method for copper with a sulfuric acid solution containing iodine ions and iron(III) ions as a leachate, iodine is separately recovered, the used iron(III) ions are regenerated by a heap obtained by laminating ores, and copper sulfide ores are efficiently leached.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for leaching copper sulfide ores comprising: a copper leaching step where, using a sulfuric acid solution containing iodine ions and iron(III) ions as a leachate, copper is leached from copper sulfide ores; an iodine separation treatment step where iodine in the solution obtained after the copper leaching step is separated, and the iodine concentration in the solution is reduced; and an iron oxidizing step where the solution after the iodine separation treatment is oxidized, in which, using the solution obtained in the iron oxidizing step and an aqueous solution containing iodine, copper sulfide ores are leached, and the iron oxidizing step is characterized in that, by scattering the solution after the iodine separation treatment against a laminated matter obtained by laminating ores, the iron(II) ions produced by copper leaching being present in the solution after the iodine treatment are oxidized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
