Abstract:
To provide a structure which can inhibit displacement of a tip of a worm in a direction perpendicular to a biasing direction in a worm speed reducer including means which elastically biases the tip of the worm to the worm wheel side.SOLUTION: A pad 50 fitted on a tip of a worm extends from a base part 61 in a direction toward a worm wheel with respect to a first direction that is a direction of an elastic force applied to the pad 50 by an elastic member and has elastic contact surfaces 68, each of which elastically contacts with an inner surface 76 of a pad engagement part of a holder 48, on an outer surface with respect to a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
