Abstract:

Provided are an aerosol generating device (10) and a control method therefor. The control method comprises: determining the total energy generated by a heater (103) performing heating within a preset time (S11); and performing dry heating detection according to the total energy generated by the heater (103) performing heating within the preset time (S12), wherein the preset time is greater than or equal to the time of duration of the temperature of the heater (103) rising from an initial temperature to a preset target temperature. According to the aerosol generating device (10) and the control method therefor, dry heating detection is performed using the total energy generated by the heater (103) performing heating within the preset time, thereby avoiding the problem of damage to a heating component caused by the heater (103) being in a dry heating state when a cigarette is not inserted into the aerosol generating device (10), and improving the user experience.
