Abstract:
Disclosed are an aerosol generation device and an aerosol generation method for generating aerosol by heating a cigarette. The aerosol generation device according to the present embodiment determines whether a cigarette has been inserted, by using, even without receiving a separate input from a user, at least one of a cigarette insertion detection sensor, a temperature detection sensor for sensing temperature changes of a heater, and a position detection sensor for sensing position changes of a door, and controls an operation of the heater on the basis of whether the cigarette has been inserted.
