Abstract:
A prophylactic/therapeutic agent for cancer, a promoter for apoptosis of cancer cells, an inhibitor for growth of cancer cells and others, comprising: a compound capable of inhibiting the activity of a protein comprising an amino acid sequence identical or substantially identical to the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1 or a salt of the compound; a compound capable of inhibiting the expression of a gene for the protein or a salt of the compound; an antisense polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence complementary or substantially complementary to the nucleotide sequence for a polynucleotide encoding the protein or a partial peptide of the protein or comprising a part of the nucleotide sequence; an antibody directed against the protein; or the like.
