Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air-conditioning system and method using liquefied air, the system and method providing indoor cooling and heating energy by using latent heat of liquefied air. The air-conditioning system using liquefied air, according to the present invention, comprises: an air-compressing process unit for producing liquid air by compressing and cooling air; and an air-expanding process unit which gasifies the liquid air so as to supply regasified air as cooling air to a place requiring air-conditioning, or which heats the regasified air so as to supply same as heating air to the place requiring air-conditioning, wherein the air-compressing process unit and the air-expanding process unit include latent heat-storing units for recovering and storing high-temperature thermal energy while liquefying the air by means of the air-compressing process unit or low-temperature thermal energy while gasifying the air by means of the air-expanding process unit, and gasifying or liquefying the air by using the stored thermal energy.
