Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an airbag base fabric that, while exhibiting improved woven fabric-versus-woven fabric rubbing characteristics, also satisfies the flame retardancy specified in FMVSS-302 (horizontal procedure). Provided as a solution is an airbag base fabric comprising a synthetic fiber woven fabric, wherein the synthetic fiber woven fabric has a coating layer on at least one side, the coating layer contains a thermoplastic resin and a polyether having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000 to 50,000, and the slip behavior (R) of the surface of the coating layer, as calculated with the formula (R) = (RDW+RDF)/2, is not greater than 0.25.
