Abstract:

An aluminum alloy plate for a lithographic printing form, characterized in that it has a chemical composition, in wt %: Fe: 0.1 to 0.6 %, Si: 0.02 to 0.2 %, Cu: 0.001 to 0.02 %, Zn: 0.01 to 0.1 %, Mg: 0.005 to 0.1 %, Ti: 0.001 to 0.05 %, balance: Al and inevitable impurities, and exhibits an average crystal grain diameter in the direction perpendicular to the rolling direction of 60 μm or less; a method for producing the aluminum alloy plate; and a lithographic printing form prepared from the plate. The aluminum alloy plate is improved in the uniformity in a roughened plane formed by an electrolytic etching to such a level that the plane is free from a banded pattern.
