Abstract:
Provided are an antenna switching method and apparatus, relating to the technical field of communications, and being used for ensuring the communication quality of a communication device while reducing power consumption. The method is applied to a first communication device comprising multiple receiving antennas and multiple transmitting antennas, and comprises: setting multiple transmitting antennas to a single-antenna transmitting state, and setting multiple receiving antennas to a multi-antenna receiving state, wherein the single-antenna transmitting state is used for the sending of a single data stream, and the multi-antenna receiving state is for the receiving of multiple data streams; sending, to a second communication device, first instruction information, wherein the first instruction information is for instructing the second communication device to use the single-antenna transmitting state; detecting a data stream used by the second communication device when sending data after receiving the first instruction information; and when it is determined that the second communication device uses a single data stream for sending, setting the multiple receiving antennas to a single-antenna receiving state, wherein the single-antenna receiving state is for the receiving of the single data stream.
