Abstract:
Disclosed are: a novel tumor antigen having an epitope for inducing a Th1 cell which is a CD4+ T cell specific to MAGE-A4; and use of the tumor antigen. Specifically disclosed is a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the following members a) to f) and having an activity of inducing the production of a cytokine in a Th cell specific to MAGE-A4: a) the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1 or 2; b) an amino acid sequence having one to several tens of arbitrary amino acid residues added to the N-terminus and/or the C-terminus of the amino acid sequence of item a); c) an amino acid sequence having 1 to 5 amino acid residues deleted at the N-terminus and/or the C-terminus of the amino acid sequence of item a); d) an amino acid sequence having one to several amino acid residues substituted and/or deleted in the amino acid sequence of item a); e) an amino acid sequence having one to several tens of arbitrary amino acid residues added to the N-terminus and/or the C-terminus of an amino acid sequence which has one to several amino acid residues substituted and/or deleted in the amino acid sequence of item a); and f) an amino acid sequence having 1 to several amino acid residues substituted in an amino acid sequence having 1 to 5 amino acid residues deleted at the N-terminus and/or the C-terminus of the amino acid sequence of item a).
