Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring the shape and area of a ship block, which measures the shape and area of the ship block from among ship blocks piled up in a stock area to accurately detect the location of the ship block. The apparatus for measuring the shape and area of a ship block according to the present invention comprises an orientation angle sensor, a distance measurer, an RFID reader and a block shape and area measuring system. The block shape and area measuring system comprises a block shape and area measuring server, a vector calculation module, a coordinate calculation module, a shape and area extraction module and a memory module.
