Abstract:
The present invention controls the arc generated between two contacts in a switch with contacts. An arc restriction mechanism 100 that comprises: a first contact 111 and a second contact 121 that can come into contact and separate; and a substantially ring-shaped arc restriction part 130 that comprises a magnetic body and is electrically insulated from a circuit that includes the first contact and the second contact. The arc restriction part: has an axis that is parallel to the direction of the gap between the first contact and the second contact when the first contact and the second contact are not in contact; and is provided so as to surround said gap.
